FAQs
Terrarium Jewelry
Q: Was the insect harmed/killed to make this creation?
A: No! All insects are ethically sourced and never abducted from their environment or harmed in any way to make my pieces.
Q: How are insects ethically sourced?
A: They come from insect farms where they live out their lifespan and are collected post-mortem. These farms help preserve the species and habitat in places like; Malaysia, Indonesia, Papa New Guinea, etc.
Q: Is my terrarium piece going to last?
A: Yes! Terrarium pieces will last for many years as long as they are taken care of. So avoid crushing and excessive exposure to moisture (do not submerge). I do offer refunds and replacements just in case!
Q: Is the insect painted?
A: No! All of my specimens are their natural color. Isn't nature stunning?
Q: How long does the insect inside last for?
A: These specimens encased in glass should last for many years. Because insects have an exoskeleton they are naturally durable and weatherproof. They are packed in their terrariums with other natural items to make a "scene" this keeps them from knocking around inside and having legs break off and such. Or they are carefully and discreetly adhered together to protect the specimen and not take away from the natural beauty.
Q: Do the flowers wilt or fade?
A: These are dried and dyed so no they will not wilt, colors may fade over years and if in constant direct sunlight.
Q: Do you make custom terrarium jewelry pieces?
A: I love doing custom pieces, if you have an idea please contact me!
